Steven (Shalom) D. Fishhaut is the founder and owner of WeiserMazars Israel Ltd. Israel. Fluent in Hebrew, Steve moved to Israel in 1997 and obtained an in-depth knowledge of Israeli taxation laws and compliance, as well as foreign investment fundamentals. Steve has over 22 years of experience providing clients with valuable tax planning and compliance services. For the past 13 years in Israel, he has concentrated his practice on assisting venture capital & private equity funds, high-tech/ bio-tech companies and their key employees with their US tax structuring and reporting requirements. His clients include some of the largest Israel-based VC, private equity and real-estate funds with US compliance obligations triggered by substantial US limited partner investment, as well as leading Israeli entities with reporting requirements in regard to their own investments in the US. Several of his Israel-based corporate clients were subsequently acquired by prominent international companies and they benefited from his guidance and assistance in the due diligence process. Steve received his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University and a Master of Business Administration in accounting and finance from New York University, along with an advanced professional degree in accounting.
