Katelyn Kogan Senior Manager
Katelyn has over 12 years of experience providing accounting, audit and advisory services to real estate companies. Her primary clients include real estate investment funds, real estate investment advisors, developers, and commercial and residential building owners and managers. She has considerable experience with technical application of GAAP to real estate companies as well as fair value measurement of real estate investments. Katelyn also has experience evaluating operating agreements and providing assurance on the applicability of profit allocations and cash distributions.
Katelyn is active with the NYS Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA). She is currently a director of the NYSSCPA’s statewide board as well as a secretary of the Manhattan/Bronx Chapter. She chaired the NYSSCPA Real Estate Committee from 2017-2019 and co-chaired the 2017 and 2016 annual FAE Real Estate Conferences. She contributed to the 2015 update of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries NCREIF’s Fair Value Accounting Policy Manual. As a leader of the firm’s Real Estate Roundtable, Katelyn contributes to the sharing of technical and industry information and delivers various trainings. As a Champion for Women at Mazars, Katelyn helps to execute the firm's strategic plan to enhance the development and retention of women leaders.
Katelyn has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Hunter College and a Master of Science in Real Estate from Baruch College.
