Providing broker-dealers with the necessary tools and insights needed to stay ahead of regulatory concerns and focus on remaining efficient and profitable.

The Mazars Financial Services Practice specializes in serving the needs of broker dealers. We work with you to increase control of your business and reduce operational and infrastructure risks. Our specialized industry insight allows us to guide the development of efficiencies in critical areas of your business including accounting, tax and regulatory compliance, and back-office operations. We have earned a reputation as a leading provider of attest services to foreign and domestic broker dealers for our insightful audits of clients whose companies encompass a wide range of product, size and capital structures.

Prepared for the future

The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 empowered the Public Accounting Oversight Board (the “PCAOB”) with new oversight authority over the audits of brokers and dealers. As the PCAOB interim inspection program progresses and proposals by the PCAOB on new auditing and financial reporting regulations become effective, Mazars is positioned to audit broker dealers under these new standards. We have performed audits of PCAOB-reporting companies since the Board’s inception. Combined with our years of broker dealer audit experience and our active involvement in industry groups, we are uniquely able to deliver top-quality attest services in this changing environment.

Services we render to brokers dealers include:

  • Auditing under PCAOB standards
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS
  • Consulting including back office, internal controls and assistance for non-attest clients in reporting requirements
