Our history

A century of service.
Moving our clients, people, and communities forward for 100 years.

From our humble beginning to the international group that it is today, Mazars in the US remains true to its founder’s spirit and values.

After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army at the beginning of the century, Maxwell R. Weiser decided to pursue his dream of owning his own business and becoming an accountant. Going to night school while he worked as a bookkeeper, Max graduated from New York University and founded M.R. Weiser & Company in 1921 to serve the accounting and business needs of entrepreneurs.

We work as a single, integrated team, committed to helping our clients and people succeed by respecting who they are and how they work, adapting our approach accordingly. We take pride in what we do and are committed to playing our part in building the economic foundations of a fair and prosperous world.

Dear Friends at Mazars,

We are beyond belief at your generous and thoughtful donation to Westlake School. During these times of the pandemic, it has been incredibly difficult for all and for you to continue to support our school in any way possible, makes this year a bit more manageable for us to directly address the needs of our students. While we have begun the school year with all students learning remotely at home, our staff is diligently in the building preparing for their arrival….
On behalf of the students and staff at Westlake School, I would like to thank you for your generous donation and dedication! We certainly missed having all of you physically here at Westlake this year and we than that each and every one of you remains safe and healthy!

Thank you!
Claudine Tantillo Principal, Westlake School

On behalf of the homeless youth My Friend’s Place services, thank you Mazars USA for the generous gift. You support helps us to provide the life-changing services that nourish the body, inspire the mind and equip the youth for brighter futures. Together we are able to care deeply for each of the 1,400 youth who walk through our doors by supporting their journey out of homelessness and into stability and well-being. Though our Safe Haven, Transformative Education, and Health and Well-Being Programs, homeless young people ages 12 to 25 and their children can access a broad continuum of care including:

• Emergency resources such as food, clothing and showers
• Basic medical care
• Therapeutic case management
• Legal services
• Creative arts
• Well-being and life-skills workshops
• Education and employment assistance

From our humble beginnings in 1988 serving meals from our cars to the comprehensive resource center of today, compassion remains the very core of our work. In our mission to assist and inspire homeless youth toward self-sufficiency, it has been our honor to witness so many young lives undergo incredible transformation. We thank you for investing in our work to serve the needs of the most vulnerable young people in Los Angeles. It is only through the generosity of our committed supporters that we have been able to grow and remain a vital part of this community.

Heather Carmichael (LCSW) Executive Director, My Friend’s Place

Dear Friends of Mazars,

Thank you for supporting YOS. We truly appreciate Mazars’ thoughtful contribution to Youth Outreach Services (YOS). We are able to provide warm and inviting counseling rooms for our youth thanks to supporters like you. When we work together to give youth the safe space and tools needed to succeed, they grow with confidence, competence and dignity. As a supporter, you are at the heart of everything that we do. We are thrilled to share that your donation enables YOS to promote healthy life skills and to help youth cope in positive ways with life’s challenges. The safety, stability, and self-sufficiency that come from participating in YOS programs allow youth to thrive into healthy adults. I join all of our clients, families, and staff in saying thank you.

Jamie Noto Executive Director, Youth Outreach Services

Dear Friends of the Helping Hand Rescue Mission at Mazars USA

We were delighted and encouraged to receive your generous donation today. Since March 13th we have been serving three times the number of clients than we were serving on average prior to COVID-19 We have given out over 7000 food parcels, additional meats, dairy, fresh produce, bread. We have also provided diapers, wipes and formula to over 100 families each month. You have helped to make this possible with the donations you have given to our food and supply drives as well and we thank you. Your donation will help us to supply non-perishables, produce and dairy for those families coming to our pantry. We provide a 2-week pantry supply for an average of 250 local families weekly. We are always happy when we can include meat, fresh bread, healthy produce and dairy items, giving greater nutrition to the families than non-perishables alone. Those who come are greatly appreciative of the food and encouragement. We serve a local, primarily “working poor” population that uses our pantry as a supplement to what they are able to provide for themselves. It is wonderful to be a part of a community that partners with us to help meet the diverse needs of those who come. We are here to love, to serve and to give as we have for the past 54 years. We hope that we can continue to partner together in the coming seasons. Again, we thank you sincerely for your generosity in contributing to Helping Hand Rescue Mission.
