Michael Crown and Lauren Reo named Managing Directors at Mazars
Mazars, a leading audit, tax and advisory firm in the US, announced that Lauren Reo was named a Managing Director (MD) in the Private Client Services Practice and Michael Crown was named a Managing Director in Quality & Risk Management (QRM).
Mazars in the US Chairman and CEO Victor Wahba commented, “The MD role is a high-level executive position for technical experts who fill a particular niche, or individuals who lead practice areas tied to a specialized revenue stream for the firm. Both Mike and Lauren have made significant contributions to our firm, both in terms of financial impact and professional involvement, including mentoring.”
Lauren has over 25 years of experience in public accounting and has been a team member of the Mazars Private Client Services practice for over 10 years. She focuses on serving as a trusted advisor to individuals, entrepreneurs and family groups, specializing in income tax planning for federal, state and local tax compliance. Lauren also works with clients on estate planning and collaborates with Mazars’ offices globally where international client needs exist. Creating a personal experience and individualized service plan for each of her working relationships is a top goal.
Lauren is a CPA in New Jersey, a member of the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA.
Mike is a key member of the QRM team, with over 30 years of experience in audit and quality assurance, providing technical insights into a number of topics and industries. Mike is a respected technical expert, both within Mazars and externally at the Global Mazars Network level.
He is the primary consultant on complex firm-wide quality, auditing, accounting and SEC regulatory technical issues, and established the firm’s Accounting & Auditing Council, an organization designed to promote technical proficiency. Mike is a member of the Mazars Group IFRS Task Force and the US Desk, a technical support organization.
Mike is a CPA in both New York and New Jersey, a member of the AICPA, a member of the NJSCPA, and has completed the IFRS Certificate Program.
