Melissa Lehr & Alexander DeRienzo Invited to the 2021 New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants Leadership Institute

The NYSSCPA developed the Leadership Institute to engage and provide opportunity to members in the early stages of their careers.  The NYSSCPA Leadership Institute enables participants to increase their effectiveness in the workplace, capture important insights and tools for strategic career planning, and ultimately become effective leaders in the society, the profession, and their respective communities.

Melissa has more than six years experience in the audit of employee benefit plans, including defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, and employee stock ownership plans. She also has substantial expertise delivering attest services to clients of all complexities in manufacturing and distribution, industrials and consumer products. Melissa is a career coach, a member of the NYSSCPA Auditing Standards Committee and Employee Benefits Plan Committee, she is involved with the Mazars American Corporate Partners mentoring program and the firm’s Inclusion and Diversity Council.

Alexander is part of the Financial Services Tax Practice at Mazars. He provides tax compliance and advisory services to both private and public companies and specializes in the taxation of private equity funds and investment management companies. Alex is a career coach at the firm and has led training for both internal and external audiences.
